Heather and Greg’s blush and blue golf club wedding started off in a bit of a panic. The all too familiar dance with Mother Nature and my iPhone’s weather app. The constant checking of the hourly forecast and going back and forth with holding the ceremony in the safe, inside space, or just going for our original Plan A.
Happy to note that we went with our gut feeling and said: “Not today Rain Gods!”. It worked out, as it always does. You can just never see it that morning.
Greg and Heather have been together for quite some time now, which I love about my couples. It’s always evident how close all of your friends and family have become throughout a longer relationship. I loved how emotional the groom got when he first saw her coming down the aisle. Definitely pulled on my heartstrings!
We started planning their design over a year before their wedding and really loved how it all came together. Gorgeous blooms by Sue Gallo Designs add so much life and fullness to the room. This lady DOES NOT skimp on your order!
I was happy that we were able to play with a blue accent colour to add to the blush and white florals. The water goblets really popped in their tablescapes. We also incorporated the same colour in their day-of-stationery through a beautiful watercolour touch with understated yet elegant calligraphy.
Another favourite design element was their statement piece seating chart. We created it out of simple plywood but stained it to match the chairs and interior of the venue. It was 6ft tall which made for easy reading for their guests!
It was another great party after the formal festivities thanks again to DJ Token. We love us a fun-filled, full dancefloor!
