Inspired by the playful atmosphere of South Beach, this editorial merges the fun pastels and art deco designs that the area is famous for, showcasing that couples are able to recreate a tropical atmosphere even if you live in the North.
This shoot was developed by an awesome group of wedding vendors in Niagara, Ontario, trying to inspire vineyard brides to think outside the box. The idea was conceptualized from my anniversary trip to Miami, admiring the repetitive patterns, beautiful architecture and beachy vibes. It all really started with the stationery. Once the initial design was custom created by Alicia, the color scheme and motif essentially decided the rest. This included the fan-like, watercolor escort card display and our art deco backdrop. The backdrop was a custom DIY project utilizing recycled scraps of wood and a good paint job. This backdrop is just sitting in my shed waiting for an excuse to get out! So if you’re interested, feel free to connect with me.
Although the inspiration shown here is for a wedding, this design and theme would also work well for any other celebration you have in mind such as showers, parties and a fun corporate affair!
