Angeli and Alex’s Wedding fell on my business’ one year anniversary, and I really could not have celebrated this milestone with anyone else. Their wedding of 130 guests was full of unending love from family and friends and the dance floor was never empty. Signs of a pretty epic party!
Angeli and her bridesmaids started their day at the Shangri-La, gorging on McDonalds for a solid breakfast, haha!
Her ring was custom designed by the groom himself with help from his grandmother who is a jeweller.
Angeli’s gown is also one of a kind, designed by Maureen Patricia. She wanted to look like a “sparkly snowflake” and I think Maureen nailed it! It turned out beautifully.
Alex and his groomsmen opted to get ready at the couple’s home in Toronto. His custom maroon suit jacket by Surmesur was perfect for the winter season.
Their First Look in the city turned out great and they even managed to take photos at Brookfield Place. They both work in the financial district so this place is pretty meaningful to them.
When we discussed what they had envisioned for their wedding style and decor, they requested for minimal or no flowers at all, focusing more on twigs and greenery. Angeli also loved the idea of “sparkles” everywhere, creating a bit of whimsy in the space. She’s a huge fan of Harry Potter and Narnia so we drew inspiration from that. A whimsical woodland wedding.
With the incredible talent of Warehouse 84 we managed to pull of just the right look and feel for the evening. Moss and light greenery was interspersed with vintage books and geometric lanterns. I believe it was the fairy lights that really helped to add whimsy to the overall design.
